Consultant Case Review

Little Barton Farm is an attractive Grade II listed building located on the outskirts of Canterbury with phases of development from the 18th to the 20th centuries. We worked with the client to prepare a Heritage Statement to support the submission of applications for planning permission and listed building consent. This identified the evolution of the building, features of architectural significance and the scope for alterations and extensions. The relevant consents were secured with no objections from the local planning authority. As a result, the client’s aspirations were balanced effectively with the conservation of the maximum amount of historic fabric and a sensitively designed refurbishment scheme.
