Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) are used to help evaluate the effects of development on the environment with considerations on not only the ecological impact but also on the heritage landscape including designated properties, conservation areas and archaeology.
The Town and Planning Regulations 2011 require the preparation of EIAs for all cases that fall under Schedule 1. EIAs may also be required by the local planning authority for Schedule 2 type projects following early stage project screening and scoping.
Our Fullerlong consultants can provide you with advice and support you need throughout this process. We can prepare the early stage desk-based assessments for screening and scoping as well as the heritage chapters necessary for your EIA.
If potential negative heritage impacts are identified during the assessment process, we can provide design input and help develop mitigation strategies that are in keeping with the highest conservation standards and best practices.
